Stampin' Up!'s New Vintage Wallpaper Texture Folder

Here is a sample of what I have done
using the fabulous & new Textured Impressions Folder -
  Vintage Wallpaper

OMG I love this one!

This was one of a gazillion old frames from a rummage sale,
and I have a soft spot for frames - there is SO much you can do with them!

Here's the close-up....

I have highlighted that great embossed design
with some WHITE CRAFT INK by
just lightly swipping the cardstock's raised design
with my ink pad. A couple of times actually.
The punched out flowers in glittery paper and
the button is sew on with linen thread.

This is a outline stamp I just received new from
my last order - FREE - that of course is what happens
when you order a certain amount (yeah!) and
I used my AQUA PAINTER and STAMPIN' PASTELS
to colour the images, and a glue dot to mount the
sweet lil' chick!  Cutie pie!

Now here it is paired with another ol' frame I
filled with the parts of post-card.....i plan on expanding
this 'vignette' as I find more rummage/garage sale frames!

Thanks for dropping in!
Don't forget to read below as you are welcome to my OPEN HOUSE!!!

YNS Challenge #3 YNSC3

Hi folks, Having fun this week playing with my fav summer theme of sea creatures!  And to justify it even more, I am playing along with YOUR NEXT STAMP's CHALLENGE #3 "Anything Goes"!   You can see their challenge details HERE ! Deadline is Weds. midnight. I already was toying with ideas involving 3D projects lately and wanted to do something within a frame, and so I put two'n'two together and here is my entry....my " Mermaids Playing in the Sun Shadow Box ". The frame was one I had for awhile, maybe two years?  And my stamps from Your Next Stamp are the adorable mermaid set, Happy Birthday Mermaid which I acquired about two years ago also! Coincidence - I think not! LOL! Later I plan to embellish this even more once I find my darn box of tiny shells!  Maybe some charms? Heck who knows! :) I am going to write up a more detailed post about creating this by the week-end, so return here if you care for that.  Tomorrow I am going to be trainin...

Beautiful Birthday Card from my Daughter

I was ' speechless ' on my birthday when my daughter presented me with her own hand-made card for me! Reason is that when we got up that morning we were in each other's company and yet somehow she managed to sneak off into my craft room and pull this together without me knowing it - - I was totally caught off guard, lol -- and loved it!!! She has always impressed me with her creativity because she doesn't do hand-craft items very often - she is more of an 'online creator' - I have her to thank for all my web banners and general blog technical help :) I was happy to see the cute butterfly resting on the branch, that is something I would not of thought of! Anyways, it was a lovely gesture and a thoughtful card. Beverly SUPPLIES LIST  Stampin' Up!   Eastern Bloom and Kindred Spirit stamp sets. Bella Rose  Designer Paper Pink Pirouette cardstock.

Fun with Tags!

That is exactly what I had with this tag.....amongst all the oodles of cards I am making for a craft fair coming up, I am taking breaks by making projects that use all kinds of different elements.  Sort of like a cardstock 'stew', lol.                                                          Cute  Gift Tag or Notecard TAG BASE  1. First, I started with a small piece of cardstock of 3 x 6 inches, folded to create a square 3 x 3 inch tag. 2.  I layered a BAJA BREEZE cardstock square on top of the tag - I used my SCALLOP TRIM CORNER PUNCH to create the pretty corners! 3. To rev it up a bit, I glittered the bottom of the tag with some of Dazzling Diamonds. TAG DECORATION 4. I stamped  my lil' WALRUS  on a punched out '1-3/4 in.' Circle  of Whisper White cardstock  - then while I "maske...
