Happy Valentine's d ay ! My entry for this year is a sweet treat box I presented to a nice lady who loves crafting like the rest of us. So inside was stuffed with an assortment of little embellishments to use on her projects and a wee bit of chocolate.  This is the  Mama Elephant's Favor Bag   decorated it with a heart die (retired)and a Martha Stewart tag. Using a different colour for each side of the box just for added kick! I also upcycled some ribbon, why not!   Hope y'all have a lovely day!  

Hello stamping friends! Here I am with a special friend who I've helped by gift wrapping his Mother's Day gift, and now he has  a one-of-a-kind present for sure! This is exactly the reason I feel we stampers do this hobby/small business for - to provide happiness!  For sure! winning smile! Details Step 1 - Hand-made 3D Flowers I have used the Big Shot and our Island Floral Bigz Die to die-cut 9 flower shapes, the 5-petal version. Then during a coffee session, I manipulated and glued into them into three 3-D flowers. What a fun way to spend some down-time! I will link a tutorial for making the flowers shortly. Step 2 - Create Floral Gift Topper Then I added another Sizzix Bigz Die for the  Vine and Leaves which were cut from our pretty PEAR PIZZAZ Cardstock - one of our IN COLORS for this year!  I added dimension to them by sponging some Old Olive   Ink.   Attach flowers to vine, embellish with gems and bits of easter floss and tulle. BIRTHDAYS - GIFTS - HOW CAN WE PERSONALIZE GIFT WRAPPING?   Consider using supplies from our personal craft collections or altering commercial gift wrap products - and it's not too hard if you look at it from a new perspective. What do you possess on hand that could help make your gift tag more 'custom' or add more pizzaz to your gift wrap?  Myself - I'll experiment with just about everything. TRY THESE QUICK IDEAS:           1)  a PAPER FLOWER made from your scallop or circle punch.  Other punches are out there that can do this as well, just look here at my ORNAMENT PUNCH tutorials or posts to see more options.  I also made a lazy paper flower by twisting a strip of gift wrap loosely and gluing to a paper circle.  I cut out leaves from scraps - she loved it!           2)  Wire up a MONOGRAM INITIAL using thin wire and some jewellery supply beads or bugles! Here's another SNEEK PEEK to a project that will be on display at my   OPEN HOUSE   - COMING UP THIS SUNDAY - AUG 1   First - want to know the secret for ador-able cards or projects like this?  Add treats! It's seriously easy by using Stampin' Up!s Sweet Treat Cups!   You fill the Sweet treat Cup with some goodies and adhere it to your project.   There are several clever Stamp Sets that are designed to use the Cups as part of the image - first stamp and then punch out a hole using a circle or heart shape punch, and insert the treat cup like I have done here.  I decided to make up my own design although I do have a co-ordinating stamp set, but I chose to punch out a circle and transform the treat cup into a flower!  And our beautiful coloured BRIGHTS BUTTONS really jazz it up! So what's this? Welllllll........it starts like this... A little bag of chocolate peanuts...all dressed up and tagged....and then you add this.... And now you have THIS!  And now you have a lil somethin' to brighten up someone special's day! And it looks good, no matter where you set it for them to find.....see... ....they'll just be comin' along, and they'll see it...and when they're up close - it'll be "oooh what's this?"  And they'll be happy. Look at this great idea. Our ORNAMENT PUNCH has been featured by many talented crafters as a means to make a ROSE FLOWER ! How neat is that! Sooooo...I have been on a creative roll lately, plus I wanted to make something special for a friend of mine, Caroline. And I wanted to have a good challenge. Now there are several ways to use this punch as a flower - many of which are a lot simplier than what I have done.  But if you've been a crafter for awhile, you should challenge yourself especially if you give classes - you can't expect it from others if you don't do it yourself! It took me awhile - the petals were the most challenging. I was working 'blind' - no template, no instructions...and so each petal was a small engineering job in itself.
