Happy Birthday Gift Bag using Sweet Treat Cups

Helllooooo!

Here's another SNEEK PEEK to a project
that will be on display at my
 OPEN HOUSE
- COMING UP THIS SUNDAY - AUG 1

First - want to know the secret for ador-able cards or projects like this?  Add treats!

It's seriously easy by using Stampin' Up!s Sweet Treat Cups!  You fill the Sweet treat Cup with some goodies and adhere it to your project.   There are several clever Stamp Sets that are designed to use the Cups as part of the image - first stamp and then punch out a hole using a circle or heart shape punch, and insert the treat cup like I have done here.

I decided to make up my own design although I do have a co-ordinating stamp set, but I chose to punch out a circle and transform the treat cup into a flower!  And our beautiful coloured BRIGHTS BUTTONS really jazz it up!

Rather than make a card, I made a ' topper ' for a gift bag - one of those non-descript bags you can buy in the 'Party Supplies' section - and look at it NOW!   Just have to filler up and I'm all set to go :)

Since I purchase these bags when they are reduced - this whole project cost me about $1.60 - so CUTE and inexpensive for a CUSTOM GIFT BAG THAT HAS SWEET ALL OVER IT!!!!

So for the cost of peanuts - or "candy" - you can give a gift in such a fun way.  I love that, and you'll probably be right there when they see their candy and their eyes light up - that's what its all about! :)

SEE YOU AT MY OPEN HOUSE!!!!

Cost of the project - 50 cents for bag; scraps of cardstock and ribbon - 50 cents; 4 buttons from "Brights" Collection - (4 0f 72 buttons) - 50 cents;  tiny amount of ink and adhesive - negligible; candy - 10 cents  = approx. $1.60

STAMPIN' UP! Supplies: 1-3/4 " Circle Punch; 5 Petal Flower Punch; Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper; NEW 'Brights' Buttons; Whisper White and Real Red Cardstock; Hostess "Playful Pieces" Level II clear stamps; Wild Wasabi + Real Red + Peach Parfait Ink, Sticky Strip Adhesive, glue.

NOTE:  You can also purchase Sweet Treat padded envelopes to hold your creations if you wish to mail them.

Beautiful Birthday Card from my Daughter

I was ' speechless ' on my birthday when my daughter presented me with her own hand-made card for me! Reason is that when we got up that morning we were in each other's company and yet somehow she managed to sneak off into my craft room and pull this together without me knowing it - - I was totally caught off guard, lol -- and loved it!!! She has always impressed me with her creativity because she doesn't do hand-craft items very often - she is more of an 'online creator' - I have her to thank for all my web banners and general blog technical help :) I was happy to see the cute butterfly resting on the branch, that is something I would not of thought of! Anyways, it was a lovely gesture and a thoughtful card. Beverly SUPPLIES LIST  Stampin' Up!   Eastern Bloom and Kindred Spirit stamp sets. Bella Rose  Designer Paper Pink Pirouette cardstock.

YNS Challenge #3 YNSC3

Hi folks, Having fun this week playing with my fav summer theme of sea creatures!  And to justify it even more, I am playing along with YOUR NEXT STAMP's CHALLENGE #3 "Anything Goes"!   You can see their challenge details HERE ! Deadline is Weds. midnight. I already was toying with ideas involving 3D projects lately and wanted to do something within a frame, and so I put two'n'two together and here is my entry....my " Mermaids Playing in the Sun Shadow Box ". The frame was one I had for awhile, maybe two years?  And my stamps from Your Next Stamp are the adorable mermaid set, Happy Birthday Mermaid which I acquired about two years ago also! Coincidence - I think not! LOL! Later I plan to embellish this even more once I find my darn box of tiny shells!  Maybe some charms? Heck who knows! :) I am going to write up a more detailed post about creating this by the week-end, so return here if you care for that.  Tomorrow I am going to be trainin

Fun with Tags!

That is exactly what I had with this tag.....amongst all the oodles of cards I am making for a craft fair coming up, I am taking breaks by making projects that use all kinds of different elements.  Sort of like a cardstock 'stew', lol.                                                          Cute  Gift Tag or Notecard TAG BASE  1. First, I started with a small piece of cardstock of 3 x 6 inches, folded to create a square 3 x 3 inch tag. 2.  I layered a BAJA BREEZE cardstock square on top of the tag - I used my SCALLOP TRIM CORNER PUNCH to create the pretty corners! 3. To rev it up a bit, I glittered the bottom of the tag with some of Dazzling Diamonds. TAG DECORATION 4. I stamped  my lil' WALRUS  on a punched out '1-3/4 in.' Circle  of Whisper White cardstock  - then while I "masked" him, I stamped the background with a snowflake stamp from JOLLY OLD ST NICK set. 5. Next I placed the stamped circle onto a larger green circle, and and trans
