Christmas Bird Cards...and Multiples!

You know that point where its time to crunch down and finish card-making for the holidays?  Yep, that is about now....maybe a few last-minute cards to go, or one big fabulous one for your significant other or child, but its ' Do or Die ' now for me!

So, I have been making multiples of some designs to make cards for the people in the neighbourhood who serve my coffee, or bag my items at the counter...all those indispensable people in my life! In fact, my cards are my little peace offerings in a way, because I can be a bore at times - well, probably a lot of times, lol!

Yes, those wonderful people are too terrific at times - always anticipating my needs, so I hope they like the fact that my time and effort into handmade cards are my way of saying thanks for putting up with me during the year, ha ha!

If you saw my Hot Drink Card post - that's for the staff at my corner coffee place.  But somehow I have made a lot of bird cards for everyone else - go figure!

Here are some ideas if you have some BIRD stamps {or the formerly-known as Quickutz Anime Bird Die}...

Glittered Birds and Anime Birds Card.
"Merry" greeting stamp from Fresh Squeezed Stamps: Hello December

Rolled a music note stamp back and forth over white cardstock, cut the bird using Big Shot and Anime Birds die. Stamped ' Merry ' from my newest "Hello, December" stamp set.

Large Birds stamped with red and turquoise markers, and an ink pen to apply
corresponding coloured glitter. Punched a border from glittered cardstock [Glittered Paper Stack]

Bird and pinecones adorned with red glitter. EK SUCCESS's Real Estate Punch for Bird,
Borders created using Scallop Punch, tied with Bakers Twine.
Background stamp in monotone [red on red] ink over cardstock.

Making multiples!

Hope you are all getting your cards done!  If not - GO DO THEM - NOW!!!

Fun with Tags!

That is exactly what I had with this tag.....amongst all the oodles of cards I am making for a craft fair coming up, I am taking breaks by making projects that use all kinds of different elements.  Sort of like a cardstock 'stew', lol.                                                          Cute  Gift Tag or Notecard TAG BASE  1. First, I started with a small piece of cardstock of 3 x 6 inches, folded to create a square 3 x 3 inch tag. 2.  I layered a BAJA BREEZE cardstock square on top of the tag - I used my SCALLOP TRIM CORNER PUNCH to create the pretty corners! 3. To rev it up a bit, I glittered the bottom of the tag with some of Dazzling Diamonds. TAG DECORATION 4. I stamped  my lil' WALRUS  on a punched out '1-3/4 in.' Circle  of Whisper White cardstock  - then while I "maske...

Shabby Chic Cookie Cutter Card

Hey everyone!   Today I am blogging about the card I made in the middle of the night, lol.  It started with the idea that I wanted to use the bear from Stampin' Up!'s Cookie Cutter bundle set {stamp and punch}.  My intended recipient loves bears and I was dying to do a shabby chic style card, so voila!  Some details: I dyed a piece of white satin ribbon using ink. Ink refills {liquids} are so helpful to create co-ordinating materials for your projects. Soft sponging of paler colours help to frame your main more colourful image. Add more details by layering accents such as my poinsettias and label.   Here is one of the  embossing powders from the Stampendous Fran-tage line called ' Shabby White '. See how bubbly and glittery it is?   There it is - I love doing soft colours paired with white for pretty styled christmas cards!!!  Hope everyone is having a safe and enjoyable holiday season this year, cheers!

Beautiful Birthday Card from my Daughter

I was ' speechless ' on my birthday when my daughter presented me with her own hand-made card for me! Reason is that when we got up that morning we were in each other's company and yet somehow she managed to sneak off into my craft room and pull this together without me knowing it - - I was totally caught off guard, lol -- and loved it!!! She has always impressed me with her creativity because she doesn't do hand-craft items very often - she is more of an 'online creator' - I have her to thank for all my web banners and general blog technical help :) I was happy to see the cute butterfly resting on the branch, that is something I would not of thought of! Anyways, it was a lovely gesture and a thoughtful card. Beverly SUPPLIES LIST  Stampin' Up!   Eastern Bloom and Kindred Spirit stamp sets. Bella Rose  Designer Paper Pink Pirouette cardstock.
