Pumpkin Spice Multi-frame Shaker Pocket

F all G reetings! Our lovely fall is bestowing us with all its gracious gifts:  weather ranging from crisp to warm, wind whirls of leaves, colours spreading throughout nature and of course, the thanksgiving fare for us to share! So when I discovered Lindsey Serata's ' Pumpkin Spice ' collection of stamps and dies (c/o Sizzix), I was most intrigued by her shaker pocket sets. Now a week further, and I am the happy owner of the Multi-frame Shaker Pocket die set! And I present my first project... Click on picture  I really love how Sizzix Designer Lindsey Serata included so many die pieces in this set - even wee little confetti dies to make your own sequin/confetti shapes! As you can see I've layered my word dies and that gorgeous coppery metallic paper really pops with the black paper behind it.  I didn't use the pocket and frames for a shaker card but rather as a gift box to which I tucked in a couple of Nescafe's coffee pouches and I will presen...

FALL THANK YOU CARD

I am very happy with this thank you card because it started out as a weak effort but finished with real zing! At first I used an older background rubber stamp and coloured it by smudging a trio of  inks in a random fashion. But wasn't thrilled with it, so I tried to pair it with a blue frame (cut with a sizzix die) and 'still' didn't feel it! Finally I needed a thank you card and quickly - and that got my creative juices flowing and now I am very pleased with it, just goes to show! I attached it to an orange cardstock card base and embellished it with some red satin ribbon and gems. I had to cover a blotch by squiggling on some Nuovo glitter on the blue top section but that is totally fine. (covered my personal message)  My inside became an integral part of the card as I used a border punch, stamping and more gems to frame my message. I hope the recipients feel the special attention I strived to give!  Did you notice no white? Great!  Thanks for st...

Make Mini Treat Cups for single Ferrero Roches

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I am enjoying the beautiful weather as I hope you all are. Important to me are sneaking in relaxing coffee moments (during busy preparations...) And speaking of cups, I turned out the most adorable project for the holiday as a Hostess gift! I will provide the YouTube link below so you can see how to make these "treat mini-cups" - they are fast and easy to make once you get a groove on!  I made a stack of the main piece and did all one stage at a time. This way you can watch more YouTube videos whilst churning out a bunch of these. To place a Fererro Roche in each cup, I found they needed a bit of a boost so I made some paper straw (recycled paper packing) but the great thing is you can display these SO many ways! The hexagon shape just lends to creating many arrangements!  Someone needs to make us a die of this template, Lawn Fawn you listening?  Thanks for checking in and count your blessings, cheers!
