Holiday Card for Dog Lovers

Heh ho, Happy New Year!

I have a one more holiday card project I didn't post earlier and would like to before I forget :)

This card was made for a young Rescue Dog Foster Parent who selflessly works to provide loving care to dogs waiting to be adopted.  Her name is Phillipa - hi Phillipa if you're reading this - and early in 2014 she was the Foster Parent to our little Maggie and has and is helping other dogs. Phillipa also has a career, and so you can imagine what a blessing it is that people like Phillipa are willing to help when we desperately need help for rescued animals - kudos to her !!!

So I thought this was a cute card to make her this holiday, because Phillipa is also in to providing home-cooked meals for the dogs and I could just imagine her baking them dog treats!

The stamp sets are: Ellie Loves to Bake by Your Next Stamp and A Cute Christmas by Stampin' Up!(discontinued).  Coloured with Copic markers and a Prism pencil (turquoise) on 100 lb white paper. I used a Fiskars Border Punch which was a tad hard to punch through a thick paper, but did it!

All together I think its really cute!

All efforts are deeply appreciated.
Thank you.

On a personal note, we have adopted 2 pets now and its been a very rewarding experience. The preparation involved is amply rewarded a thousand times over with the love that the new pet returns to you when the bonding period is developed and completed.  There is inadequate words to describe the blessed souls that these animals are :)  Thank you for reading this.

Beautiful Birthday Card from my Daughter

I was ' speechless ' on my birthday when my daughter presented me with her own hand-made card for me! Reason is that when we got up that morning we were in each other's company and yet somehow she managed to sneak off into my craft room and pull this together without me knowing it - - I was totally caught off guard, lol -- and loved it!!! She has always impressed me with her creativity because she doesn't do hand-craft items very often - she is more of an 'online creator' - I have her to thank for all my web banners and general blog technical help :) I was happy to see the cute butterfly resting on the branch, that is something I would not of thought of! Anyways, it was a lovely gesture and a thoughtful card. Beverly SUPPLIES LIST  Stampin' Up!   Eastern Bloom and Kindred Spirit stamp sets. Bella Rose  Designer Paper Pink Pirouette cardstock.

YNS Challenge #3 YNSC3

Hi folks, Having fun this week playing with my fav summer theme of sea creatures!  And to justify it even more, I am playing along with YOUR NEXT STAMP's CHALLENGE #3 "Anything Goes"!   You can see their challenge details HERE ! Deadline is Weds. midnight. I already was toying with ideas involving 3D projects lately and wanted to do something within a frame, and so I put two'n'two together and here is my entry....my " Mermaids Playing in the Sun Shadow Box ". The frame was one I had for awhile, maybe two years?  And my stamps from Your Next Stamp are the adorable mermaid set, Happy Birthday Mermaid which I acquired about two years ago also! Coincidence - I think not! LOL! Later I plan to embellish this even more once I find my darn box of tiny shells!  Maybe some charms? Heck who knows! :) I am going to write up a more detailed post about creating this by the week-end, so return here if you care for that.  Tomorrow I am going to be trainin

Fun with Tags!

That is exactly what I had with this tag.....amongst all the oodles of cards I am making for a craft fair coming up, I am taking breaks by making projects that use all kinds of different elements.  Sort of like a cardstock 'stew', lol.                                                          Cute  Gift Tag or Notecard TAG BASE  1. First, I started with a small piece of cardstock of 3 x 6 inches, folded to create a square 3 x 3 inch tag. 2.  I layered a BAJA BREEZE cardstock square on top of the tag - I used my SCALLOP TRIM CORNER PUNCH to create the pretty corners! 3. To rev it up a bit, I glittered the bottom of the tag with some of Dazzling Diamonds. TAG DECORATION 4. I stamped  my lil' WALRUS  on a punched out '1-3/4 in.' Circle  of Whisper White cardstock  - then while I "masked" him, I stamped the background with a snowflake stamp from JOLLY OLD ST NICK set. 5. Next I placed the stamped circle onto a larger green circle, and and trans
