Christmas Kiss - Penny Black

Wow I looooooooooove this stamp! Its really pretty and its been my challenge this season because I am not used to colouring stamps this large!!! Gasp - turns out all those Copic lessons are true, you DO need to know how to blend, lol.

But I did pretty good because instead of trying to be what I am not {a copic/marker colourist extroidinare} - I did what I do-do best and that is just wing it! Hee hee! And I heard about 'frantage' so I now have another new interest - that is what is great this year, I actually have been learning or rather exploring new things - yeah for me!

I really enjoyed being set loose with the embellishments!

I painted this green one using watercolour pencils after I stamped and embossed the image with White Embossing Powder. So it looks wildly bright - but I went with the whimsical nature of it all and I think its rather "artsy"!

Well, I enjoyed this stamp so much - now I am waiting for PB "Holly Fairy" to arrive! I've been checking my mail every day, lol!

Beautiful Birthday Card from my Daughter

I was ' speechless ' on my birthday when my daughter presented me with her own hand-made card for me! Reason is that when we got up that morning we were in each other's company and yet somehow she managed to sneak off into my craft room and pull this together without me knowing it - - I was totally caught off guard, lol -- and loved it!!! She has always impressed me with her creativity because she doesn't do hand-craft items very often - she is more of an 'online creator' - I have her to thank for all my web banners and general blog technical help :) I was happy to see the cute butterfly resting on the branch, that is something I would not of thought of! YNS Challenge #3 YNSC3

Hi folks, Having fun this week playing with my fav summer theme of sea creatures! And to justify it even more, I am playing along with YOUR NEXT STAMP's CHALLENGE #3 "Anything Goes"! You can see their challenge details HERE ! Deadline is Weds. midnight. I already was toying with ideas involving 3D projects lately and wanted to do something within a frame, and so I put two'n'two together and here is my entry....my " Mermaids Playing in the Sun Shadow Box ". The frame was one I had for awhile, maybe two years? And my stamps from Your Next Stamp are the adorable mermaid set, Happy Birthday Mermaid which I acquired about two years ago also! Coincidence - I think not! LOL! Later I plan to embellish this even more once I find my darn box of tiny shells! Maybe some charms? Fun with Tags!

That is exactly what I had with this tag.....amongst all the oodles of cards I am making for a craft fair coming up, I am taking breaks by making projects that use all kinds of different elements. Sort of like a cardstock 'stew', lol. Cute Gift Tag or Notecard TAG BASE 1. First, I started with a small piece of cardstock of 3 x 6 inches, folded to create a square 3 x 3 inch tag. 2. I layered a BAJA BREEZE cardstock square on top of the tag - I used my SCALLOP TRIM CORNER PUNCH to create the pretty corners! 3. To rev it up a bit, I glittered the bottom of the tag with some of Dazzling Diamonds. TAG DECORATION 4. I stamped my lil' WALRUS on a punched out '1-3/4 in.' Circle of Whisper White cardstock - then while I "masked" him, I stamped the background with a snowflake stamp from JOLLY OLD ST NICK set. 5.
