The More Candles the Bigger the Wish! Card

Are you enjoying SALE-A-BRATION yet?  Well most of us are!!  Here's one more good reason to motivate you to take advantage of the benefits of SAB - its a lovely set of 6 expressions that cover a lot of ground for your cards now and in the future.  And paired with some pretty new papers...and you'll have a beautiful card to give to someone special - well, for those old enough to read! And if they can't - they're probably more interested in what else you have to give them, lol!

The stamp set is called WHIMSICAL WORDS and it can be yours for FREE  from our SAB catalogue if you purchase $65 worth of Stampin' Up! products ( regular IDEA Cataloque or our new Occasion Mini Cataloque), and for every additional $65 in your purchase - you may choose another FREE item from the SAB cataloque - so ok, that's that. Now let's look at the card...

First, we take some paper from the fabby "Sweet Pea" paper stack and our trusty TOP NOTE Big Shot Bigz Die. We're going to make a top note in the 'paper pieced' method, or sometimes known as 'paper quilted'.

Pick 4 patterns of the Sweet Pea papers, and cut them into small  2-1/2 x 2-1/2 squares and arrange them into a larger square in any order. Adhere this arrangement to a piece of larger white paper ( 5x5 inch). When you're done, place the sheet centered over the Top Note die. Line up the center lines in both direction to meet the "pointy" part of the Top Note - you're centered.  Run it through the Big Shot or your manual die-cutting machine. Set aside for the moment.

Next, grab a scrap of whisper white and stamp the expression - The more candles, the bigger the wish!  and  beside this stamp the 'cake' from the stamp set, "Happy Moments"  - one of the FREE stamp sets from the SAB cataloque.
Layer this over a slightly larger piece of cardstock, in my example, a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock - that very pretty pink. To rev it up, glue some pretty pink glitter over the little flowers of the cake!  PRETTY!

Now - take your prepared Top Note piece and top it with the greeting/cake piece. Together  they will decorate a card base { Melon Mambo with Whisper White layered on top} ....

and, Voila!  A lovely, lovely card!

Fun with Tags!

That is exactly what I had with this tag.....amongst all the oodles of cards I am making for a craft fair coming up, I am taking breaks by making projects that use all kinds of different elements.  Sort of like a cardstock 'stew', lol.                                                          Cute  Gift Tag or Notecard TAG BASE  1. First, I started with a small piece of cardstock of 3 x 6 inches, folded to create a square 3 x 3 inch tag. 2.  I layered a BAJA BREEZE cardstock square on top of the tag - I used my SCALLOP TRIM CORNER PUNCH to create the pretty corners! 3. To rev it up a bit, I glittered the bottom of the tag with some of Dazzling Diamonds. TAG DECORATION 4. I stamped  my lil' WALRUS  on a punched out '1-3/4 in.' Circle  of Whisper White cardstock  - then while I "maske...

Beautiful Birthday Card from my Daughter

I was ' speechless ' on my birthday when my daughter presented me with her own hand-made card for me! Reason is that when we got up that morning we were in each other's company and yet somehow she managed to sneak off into my craft room and pull this together without me knowing it - - I was totally caught off guard, lol -- and loved it!!! She has always impressed me with her creativity because she doesn't do hand-craft items very often - she is more of an 'online creator' - I have her to thank for all my web banners and general blog technical help :) I was happy to see the cute butterfly resting on the branch, that is something I would not of thought of! Anyways, it was a lovely gesture and a thoughtful card. Beverly SUPPLIES LIST  Stampin' Up!   Eastern Bloom and Kindred Spirit stamp sets. Bella Rose  Designer Paper Pink Pirouette cardstock.

Shabby Chic Cookie Cutter Card

Hey everyone!   Today I am blogging about the card I made in the middle of the night, lol.  It started with the idea that I wanted to use the bear from Stampin' Up!'s Cookie Cutter bundle set {stamp and punch}.  My intended recipient loves bears and I was dying to do a shabby chic style card, so voila!  Some details: I dyed a piece of white satin ribbon using ink. Ink refills {liquids} are so helpful to create co-ordinating materials for your projects. Soft sponging of paler colours help to frame your main more colourful image. Add more details by layering accents such as my poinsettias and label.   Here is one of the  embossing powders from the Stampendous Fran-tage line called ' Shabby White '. See how bubbly and glittery it is?   There it is - I love doing soft colours paired with white for pretty styled christmas cards!!!  Hope everyone is having a safe and enjoyable holiday season this year, cheers!
