Shabby Chic Cookie Cutter Card

Hey everyone!   Today I am blogging about the card I made in the middle of the night, lol.  It started with the idea that I wanted to use the bear from Stampin' Up!'s Cookie Cutter bundle set {stamp and punch}.  My intended recipient loves bears and I was dying to do a shabby chic style card, so voila!  Some details: I dyed a piece of white satin ribbon using ink. Ink refills {liquids} are so helpful to create co-ordinating materials for your projects. Soft sponging of paler colours help to frame your main more colourful image. Add more details by layering accents such as my poinsettias and label.   Here is one of the  embossing powders from the Stampendous Fran-tage line called ' Shabby White '. See how bubbly and glittery it is?   There it is - I love doing soft colours paired with white for pretty styled christmas cards!!!  Hope everyone is having a safe and enjoyable holiday season this year, cheers!

My 'specially-created' SAKURA Flower using the Island Floral Bigz Die and Squash Card!

Yes helloooo to all out in craft-cyber world! I feel really accomplished this week!  I have finished a set of gift bags for a baby shower AND a nice card in SQUASH BOOK style - both are ready to fly out the door!!! To decorate the chipboard cover, I created my very own stylized "Sakura Flower" using  Stampin' Up!'s FLORAL ISLAND BIGZ DIE (retired). It's quite the size.   I chose the Sakura flower which is adored on a national level in Japan!  It can also be referred to as the Cherry Blossom Flower. The trees are stunning when in full bloom - and its hard for the eye to take in all the beauty of a grouping of trees, its awesome!   So here it is! Sorry but the camera created a reddish hue!  I love ROSE RED in all its forms (cardstock, ribbon, ink, etc.) and it goes nicely with the GARDEN GREEN cardstock and the softer pink accents.  The patterned paper is part of a 8x8" Cardstock Pad from Stampin' Up! - they come out with a new on...

Wedding Card

My daughter had a really nice time at her uncle's wedding. And here is the card she made them. She wanted to use colours that were part of the bride's wedding theme, lavender and yellow. Then using the stamp from the KINDRED SPIRIT set, she sprinkled the large branch with tiny hearts and set the 2 lovebirds on the main branch - all snuggled lovingly together. I lined the inside of the envelope for her because I always think that is a nice touch. I'm sure some of you now recognize the bird die-cuts as being from Birds with Leaves and Flowers., a Big Shot exclusive. I am totally finding this to be a great die to have! I am sure she will find that the happy couple are in LOVE with her heartfelt card!
